SKULL ON THE FRONT GATE OF THE RUA

The sight that greets all who approach the Rua is one of the great trophies of The People: the skull of a felled Drogduni.

A brazen, full frontal attack on the Rua by a wing of Erebos’ army was held at bay by the Reds long enough for reinforcements to arrive from the other Clans. As the battle dragged into its fourth day, Erebos’ lieutenants (Deimos and Damianos) managed to bring a Drogduni to the very gates of the Rua. Every quill was bare as the Drogduni slowly bled to death. Lir set about designing a new bow to increase its range of lethality, and new tactics were derived to better dispatch any of the giant creatures in future.

The People learned this particular Drogduni was a diminutive example of its race…but it was still the first to fall at their hands, and that meant they could be killed. The warriors needed to overcome the initial shock of fighting such a beast. Indeed, this Drogduni was the first of many that would meet their end in a battle with the smaller, faster, deadlier People.
